Planning for active transport

Our priority projects:

Our community helped us to develop two planning documents: Central Coast Bike Plan and the Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan (PAMP) to guide our ongoing provision of an active transport network for Central Coast residents and visitors.

The purpose of these documents is to provide a safe, high quality and a well-connected network that enables pedestrians and cyclists of all abilities to move efficiently and conveniently throughout the Central Coast. It also aims to increase the continuity and connectivity of existing facilities and encourage the use of active transport.

The Central Coast Bike Plan shows the commitment to expand our network of shared pathways to increase opportunities for locals and tourists to walk or cycle for pleasure or as a legitimate mode of transport, making the Coast an even better place to live in and visit.

To develop the PAMP, the priority routes in Gosford, Woy Woy, Wyong/Tuggerah and The Entrance were divided into discrete segments and audited to identify maintenance issues, missing links, and crossing needs or issues.
