Growing the Central Coast together

In December last year, several Councillors attended the launch of Central Coast Leadership Forum’s Blueprint Central Coast

Blueprint Central Coast outlines a regional roadmap for growth. It is supported by the Premier of New South Wales, The Hon Chris Minns who says: “This report gives us a blueprint for the next chapter for the Central Coast’s growth. It sets out a vision that is both ambitious and grounded in the region’s real opportunities and is a genuine collaboration between business, community and government leaders … Now is the time for action and I am determined to make sure the Central Coast is front and centre in our state’s future.”

The report identifies the Central Coast’s key strengths and challenges and recommends actions across five policy missions: urban renewal, housing infrastructure, regulatory reform, industry and tourism development and education. These missions align closely with Council’s Strategic Planning framework.

Under each of the recommendations there are short, medium and long-term actions that involve all levels of government.

The Central Coast is rapidly growing and evolving. Blueprint Central Coast supports our region’s transition to a vibrant modern economy and aligns with community aspirations.

I believe Blueprint Central Coast presents a strong opportunity for Council to work with all regional stakeholders to deliver a long-term legacy for our future.
